Live for the Moment

Live every moment of life as if its your last,
bcoz even before you are sure, it just flies past you so fast.
and once that moment is past,
its always referred to as past.
Like a wave forms and flows away,
time is like the grains of sand, it doesnt wait for us, it holds sway.
Grasp each moment, you own it,
make sure each day of yours is brightly lit.
Dark times will sometimes engulf you,
make sure that these moments in time are very few.
There is much more to life than living it plainly,
there are a lot of things we can do to lead life merrily.
Dream to dare, dare to dream,
laugh your heart out, scream till your lungs hurt; scream!!!
Dont let life's path lead you on a boring tangent,
live life fully, live for the moment.

Sound of Silence

I have heard many people say that the silence is deafening,
I guess they are so used to the noise that they find this threatening.
We love to say speech is silver and silence is golden,
but alas its an adage we give a thought about very seldom.
You can run, you can hide but you cannot escape silence, its within you,
Just like your shadow walks with you every step of the way even when you don't want it to.
Silence is not just observed by the thinkers or the dead,
it can show us where we are right now and where we are headed.
Observe the placid waters clearly, one stone thrown and millions of ripples appear,
Just like one stray sound can make the silence disappear.
There is no escaping the sound of silence, its within you, that is clear,
it goes with you everywhere and is present whenever you want it to appear.

Thoughts

Thoughts in the air, flying like kites.
Let them go and reach great heights.
For every kite there is a thread attached,
to pull it back if there is a catch.
The kite can fly with a great amount of freedom and space,
but remember it never feels that this is a race.
A kite can cut another kite only if its directed to by its makers,
just like many of your ideas may have no takers.
A kite once cut can still take to the sky,
your thoughts better refined can catch someone's eye.
The direction of the wind is what influences your kites flight,
your mind should tell you of your thoughts are wrong or right.
There is ample space in the sky for each and every kite,
just like your mind can remember everything on which you ever set sight.
Never let the kite lose its height, its originality,
because your thoughts don't show your intelligence, they display your personality

Just the beginning.....

Two years have passed in the blink of an eye,
As i read this, a tear drops from my eye.
Memories galore I have from here,
which I can never forget, have no fear.
The best days of my life will end soon,
Well right now I am not over the moon.
But life has to go on as it has to,
we will go places as life directs us to.
My friends surely I will miss,
like my mom's goodnight kiss.
There are no words to say what I feel,
Its like a movie has reached the final reel.
There is no happy ending, we will all go,
but as they say, this is just the beginning.....

Humanity

We sit here in peace as our protectors on the borders die,
for them there are a few people who shed tears and cry.
The next day its life as usual for all and sundry,
this my dear friends is humanity.
Why do i blame humanity?
because its us who have created all animosity.
Just one thought suddenly stuck me today,
is what we are today because of what we did yesterday?
The real heroes never strive for recognition,
they live and die for their motherland with great distinction.
What does our kind do about it?
give them an award and say thats it.
What about the loved ones they leave behind,
in the quest that no one gets left behind.
No one thinks about them even once in a way,
well then how do you expect them to protect us everyday?
They never asked for any awards or reward, they just did their duty by being on their guard.
They laid down their lives for all of us,
now they must be thinking, humanity sucks......

Emotions

Emotions many have scarred your heart,
Its with them that every day you start.
Emotions give life a contrast very stark,
they are you, they leave their mark.
They make you feel whole, make you feel alone,
their presence prevents you from sinking like a stone.
We want to embrace life, but we ignore emotion,
they are with us in sorrow, also in elation.
Their importance is very real,
they put you on track, make you heal.
These are the greatest battles your mind ever fought,
to help emotions change you day in and day out.

Wordless Wonder

Some days I sit looking out of the window,
I am not lonely, but i dont know where to go.
I tried to think what I want,
thought of putting it in words but I cant.
The laws of life dictate our being,
they show us the light we are seeing.
I wish I were more clear,
give the thoughts in my mind a direction to steer,
myself clear of ignorance,
to give me an inherent sense.
of whats right and wrong,
and know when I dont belong.
So here I go with my shot,
this is the only opportunity I have got.
Let me not fail myself and avail,
this opportunity life has given me and prevail.
