Sands of Time

There are many wishes, many thoughts,
I have missed many good spots.
A lifetime of knowledge i have gained,
but its really about the experiences that i have learned.
i stand here as the sands of time continue to fall,
how i wish I could hold time and make it stall.
Lots of memories I have from here to cherish,
I know in my heart that they will never perish.
They say life is like a long walk home,
but its here that we continue to roam.
Memories galore I have got with me,
they will always walk with me wherever I be.
As they say the greater the joy, the greater the pain,
its like getting drenched in the first monsoon rain.
As i sit here today and write this rhyme,
I hold still and watch the sands of time!!
